China wood frog oil, as its name implies, is China wood frog oil, also known as snow clam cream, which is the oviduct of female China wood frog and is called China wood frog oil in the northeast. Oviductus Ranae, commonly known as Oviductus Ranae and Rana chensinensis oil in China, is scientifically named Rana chensinensis. China Pharmacopoeia 1990 and 2005 editions recorded oviductus ranae, and China Pharmacopoeia 20 10 and 20 15 editions recorded oviductus ranae, which were highly praised by medical experts in Ming and Qing dynasties. Su Song's Illustration of Materia Medica in Song Dynasty and Li Shizhen's Compendium of Materia Medica in Ming Dynasty are both recorded as Oviductus Ranae. In the Qing dynasty, oviductus ranae was already a tribute to the court and was known as the "head of eight treasures". Oviductus Ranae is also called China Rana oil, China Rana oil and China Rana oil. Because of different foods, China Rana chensinensis has different dryness when it is picked. Oviductus Ranae varies in shape and size, showing irregular colloidal blocks, and the colors are white, yellow-white, brown and black. It has a fatty luster, slightly sweet and fishy taste, slightly sticky when chewed, and smooth to the touch. It is best to be large, dry, film-free, impurity-free, white or yellow-white.
