1, cooling and refrigeration
First of all, we know how to keep fresh chestnuts in cold storage. Fresh chestnuts can be cleaned, put outside to dry the moisture on the surface, then put into fresh-keeping bags or plastic wrap, sealed at the mouth of the bag or box, and then put into the cold storage layer of the refrigerator. In this way, fresh chestnuts can be kept for about a month without deterioration.
2, ventilation and preservation
Fresh chestnut is not easy to deteriorate in a relatively ventilated environment because of its growth habit. When preserving, we can first dry fresh chestnuts in a relatively ventilated environment. After two days, find a transparent and breathable cloth bag, put chestnuts in the bag, and then put the cloth bag in a cool place to achieve the function of storage. The storage time can reach about four or five months.
3, jar preservation
Fresh chestnuts can also be stored in pots or clay pots. Wash and dry the fresh chestnuts first, then put them in a relatively clean and dry jar, and then put some straw into it when it is about seven or eight minutes full, and then buckle the jar upside down on the relatively dry ground. This method can only be used to store a small amount of chestnuts, not a large amount.
Step 4 mix sand and gravel
After fresh chestnuts are dried in the sun, they are put into an altar-shaped container, and then an appropriate amount of dry yellow sand is poured in, and the ratio of yellow sand to chestnuts is about 3: 1. Sprinkle some water on the surface of the yellow sand to prevent the water in the fresh chestnut from completely evaporating. This can also better realize the function of storing chestnuts.
Step 5 unfold and dry for storage
Fresh method can also be directly stored in a cool, dry and ventilated place. First of all, as long as the fresh chestnuts are completely spread out and placed in a ventilated place, and this place needs to be dry and ventilated all the year round, so that the fresh chestnuts can be preserved for two months.
6, sawdust mixing
This method is similar to mixed storage of sand and gravel. First, the sawdust and fresh chestnuts need to be mixed together and put into a suitable container. Spread a layer of sawdust on it without sealing, and then put it in a cool, ventilated and dark place. This method of storing chestnuts can extend the storage time of chestnuts to about two months.
