The lion's head goose is the largest fine breed of geese bred in China's farming community at present, and one of the world's large geese. It is native to Fubin Township, Raoping County, Guangdong Province. It is mostly distributed in the suburbs of Chenghai, Chaoan and Shantou. Feathers are gray-brown or silver-gray, with white belly feathers. The head is large and the eyes are small, the top and both sides of the head have a large black sarcoma, the goose's sarcoma can increase with age, shaped like a lion's head, so it is called the lion's head goose.
