Yanghe Ginger 1 How to Plant, Prepare Soil and Fertilize
Ginger is suitable for growing in sandy loam with high terrain, flat soil, smooth drainage and leeward. Before planting, it is necessary to select a suitable plot, then deepen it to a depth of about 30 cm in advance, and finally apply fully decomposed farmyard manure as base fertilizer.
2. Processing tubers
First, dig out the soil of ginger and onion planted with lotus root, shake off the soil, then cut the tuber into 3-4 pieces to ensure that there are at least 2 seed buds on each tuber to improve the survival rate of planting, and then soak the tuber in carbendazim solution for disinfection to avoid causing diseases and pests after sowing.
Step 3 sow in the soil
When sowing, put the ginger tuber into the planting ditch, keep the seed bud upward, and the suitable planting distance is 60-70 cm. After sowing, cover it with thick soil and suppress it slightly. When the shoots grow to 13 cm, apply liquid fertilizer once to promote the rapid growth of aboveground stems and leaves.
4. Maintenance management
Ginger itself emits a special smell, which can repel insects, so there are fewer pests in the growing period, but rot may occur in some areas. The cause of the disease is wet soil and poor ventilation. Pay attention to ditch cleaning and drainage in rainy season, and implement the system of crop rotation and stubble rotation after the disease occurs.
