Chu Imperial City Site: Huangcheng Village, located about 8km south of Ji Zheng and 4km west of 207 national highway. This place is the capital of Chu in the early Spring and Autumn Period. There are many places of interest in this city, such as the Forbidden City, Sun Jinpo, Zhao Haoqi's Tomb, Beacon Tower and so on. The cultural relics unearthed in the Spring and Autumn Period include bronze square pots, bronze carts, celadon pots of the Southern and Northern Dynasties, ant nose coins, iron coins of the Han Dynasty and tiles. In 200 1 year, it was listed as a national key cultural relics protection unit.
Chemakeng in the Spring and Autumn Period: It is located in Luogang, Huzhou Village, Ji Zheng Town, and was unearthed at 1989. Known as the great discovery of Chu culture archaeology. This pit is 22.2m long, 4.2-4.3m wide and1.5-1.6m deep. There are 7 vehicles in the pit, 18 horses, which are practical chariots. It has been reproduced in the city museum according to the actual size.
Long canal: also known as "Baili Canal", it is now called Wuzhen Baili Long Canal. During the Warring States Period, King Xiang of Zhao Chun (779 BC) stopped the attack of the Heman River on Chu, and people used this canal to irrigate the fields after the war. It was renovated five times during the Tang Dynasty, the Northern Song Dynasty, the Southern Song Dynasty and the Yuan Dade period. 1939, General Zhang Zizhong was stationed in Yicheng to rebuild this canal, which was renamed as "Chen Xun Canal" (Zhang Zizhong word Chen Xun). 1952 people's government rebuilt it and completed it on 1953. This long canal starts from Xiejiatai, Nanzhang County in the west and ends at Chihu Village, Ji Zheng Town, Yicheng City in the east, winding for 47 kilometers, so it is called Baili Long Canal.
Pangjudong: Pangju Village, Wangji Town, located 1 km west of Hanshui River, where Tang Dynasty hermit Pang Yun and his wife lived. This cave is a combination of natural formation and artificial construction, located in the middle of a hillside. There is a stone couplet at the east gate: "The moon is idle in the mountains, and the smoke at the mouth of the cave has been from ancient times to the present." There are stone carvings of flowers and birds on both sides of the cave. Liang, a native of Yicheng in Ming Dynasty, once built a temple here, named Pangju Temple, which was expanded in Qing Dynasty. The temple has been demolished and the surrounding environment of the cave is well protected.
Heying Nanquan Island Leisure Resort: Located on the east bank of the Han River, 35km away from Yicheng City, it is a multifunctional tourist area integrating holiday tourism, leisure tourism and conference tourism based on the landscape of Heying No.1 Reservoir and Nanquan Islands. There are famous Jianmen Mountain, Moqi Mountain, Nanquan, Dahongshan and Chengzihe in the scenic spot. The resort is rich in vegetation and forest wildlife, with a water area of 1 1,000 hectares. The main revolutionary sites in Yicheng are: the former site of Soviet government in the Henan-Hubei border area of Xinjie (193 1), the cemetery of general Zhang Zizhong's martyrs in Shili Changshan, Xinjie (1940), the former site of Liu Monkey's Chenjiatang Red Army Hall (1930) and the revolutionary martyrs' cemetery in the city.
