Qinghai Lake, Tibetan name Tshewen cloth, located in the northeastern part of the Tibetan Plateau, Qinghai Province, China's largest inland saltwater lake, an area of about 4,543 square kilometers. Formed by the Qilian Mountains between the Datong Mountain, Riyue Mountain and Qinghai South Mountain fault subsidence.
The source of water recharge of Qinghai Lake is river water, followed by springs and precipitation at the bottom of the lake, Qinghai Lake due to the blockage of the outflow channel, Qinghai Lake has evolved into an occluded lake.
