1, vole
Compared with other mice, voles are stronger than other rodents, with shorter tails and smaller eyes and ears. Micropores can survive in various environments.
Most of them are terrestrial species. They dig underground tunnels or nest in cracks under fallen trees, roots and rocks. Some are active during the day, some are active at night, and some are active all day.
2. Crown Mouse
The hair on the crown mouse is long, and sometimes it stands up to form a crown. The hair on the tail of the crown mouse is also long, weighing 2.5 kilograms, and it seems that the tail is thicker than other hamsters. The crown mouse is stout, similar to a guinea pig, weighing up to 2.5 kilograms, and is the largest member of the suborder Roderidae.
Crown mice hide in caves during the day and climb trees at night to feed. Although its body looks heavy, its climbing skills are superb.
3.hamster
Hamsters, except those distributed in Central Asia, have cheek pouches on both cheeks, which can temporarily store food in their mouths and transport it to caves for storage, so they are also called hamsters and warehouses.
Small eyes, hairy ears and exposed ears. The body length varies from 50 mm to 340 mm, with short legs, wide feet and short tail. Temperate terrestrial animals are most common in open areas.
4. Bamboo rat
Named after eating bamboo, it mainly feeds on bamboo, awn grass and plant straw. Bamboo rats mainly inhabit tropical and subtropical forests, shrubs and bamboo forests in eastern Africa and southern Asia. Bamboo rat has been cultivated on a large scale in China, which has become one of the farming industries with economic benefits.
5. Roof rat
The roof rat has a slender figure, a longer tail than its body length, big and thin ears and long hind feet. There are two main color types: black type and brown type. Black type has black back hair and lead gray belly hair, and brown type has dark gray brown back hair and gray white belly hair.
