1. Whitebait lives and distributes in saltwater and freshwater in East Asia. The body is slender, like a salmon, with no scales or fine scales. It has a large mouth with large and sharp teeth for preying on fish. The body is slightly round in length, tender and transparent.

2. The glass is pulled, the body is short and the sides are flat, the whole body is as transparent as crystal, and the internal organs, bones and blood vessels can be clearly seen. It is a unique species among tropical fish.

3. Glass catfish, 10 to 12 centimeters long, shaped like a willow leaf. The head and snout are pointed, and there are 2 long tentacles on the mouth, which often extend forward or rotate freely to detect water flow, enemy situations, obstacles and assist in foraging. The thorax and abdomen are extremely short, with the cephalothorax and abdomen only accounting for 1/4 of the total length. The caudal peduncle is extremely short and the caudal fin is forked. The dorsal fin is degraded, the rump and anal fin base are very long, and the front and rear fin rays are equally wide. The whole body is transparent, and the spine, spines, fins and internal organs are clearly visible.
