Keep chestnuts in a cool and ventilated place for two to three days, and then put them in a breathable cloth bag. Then hang the packaged chestnuts in a cool and ventilated place, and remember to shake them once or twice a day, which is beneficial to the long-term preservation of chestnuts.
2. Shell storage method
Choose a ventilated and cool place to pile chestnuts together. The width of chestnuts should be controlled between 1 m ~ 2m, and the height should not exceed 1m. Usually, more attention should be paid to the temperature and humidity of chestnuts. If the temperature of chestnut is too high, you can use splashing water to cool it down. Chestnuts can be covered with a little straw to prevent sun and frost in winter. It is best to lay a layer of sand with a thickness of 10 cm under the chestnut pile to prevent the ground from being wet.
3. Tank storage method
Be sure to clean and dry the water storage tank first, and put a bamboo curtain under the water tank to avoid direct contact with the bottom of the tank. Put a ventilated bamboo tube in the middle of the jar, and then put the chestnuts in the jar. After each layer is leveled, it needs to be separated by pine needles. The last layer should also be covered with pine needles, and the top layer of the cylinder should also be covered with bamboo curtains to prevent rats from getting in. Remember to change pine needles once a month.
4. Sand filling and storage
This storage method is very suitable for storing a large number of chestnuts. Choose a covered vat or other container and buy a bag of sand or other tiny fillers similar to sand online. Spread the sand evenly at the bottom of the tank, then spread a layer of chestnuts, and then cover the chestnuts with a layer of sand, so that the sand and chestnuts are placed layer by layer. The top layer can be sealed with sand, and some can be taken out directly when eating.
5, ventilated storage
This is the simplest and most convenient method. Put the selected chestnuts in the vent to dry for 3-4 days. When chestnuts are completely dry, put them in a well-ventilated bag instead of a plastic bag. The breathable bag can be a linen bag or other similar bags. Then put the bag in a ventilated and cool place, and pay attention to insects and moisture for a long time. Although this method is simple, it has a disadvantage that the moisture of chestnut will air dry and the storage time is not as long as the above two methods.
