Don't soak for too long, or the taste of wild mushrooms will be gone. I usually soak until it is soft (usually 10 minutes or so). After washing the soil thoroughly, I soaked it in clear water, but there was not much water. When cooking or cooking soup, I always put it in a pot with water-borne bacteria, so that the fragrance of wild bacteria can be preserved. Hee hee!
It is best to keep the roots and remove them only when they are too dirty to clean. After all, the root of boletus is a bit big, delicious and expensive. It's a pity to throw them away.
