Wakame is a seaweed plant, one-year-old, yellow-brown in color, 1 to 2 meters high and 50 to 100 mm wide. Porphyra belongs to the Rhodophyta in systematic taxonomy, so Wakame is not Porphyra.
Laver is rich in protein, carbohydrates, unsaturated fatty acids, vitamins and minerals, and has high nutritional value. And nori is one of the most protein-rich seaweeds. The protein content in seaweed varies with the type of algae, growth time, location, etc. Generally, the protein mass fraction accounts for 25% to 50% of the dry weight of seaweed.
