The functions of luffa gourd:

Characteristics of loofah:

Luffa is long cylindrical or long spindle-shaped, slightly curved, with thinner ends. It is about 25 to 60 cm long and has a middle diameter of about 6 to 8 cm. The surface is white or yellow-white, and the entire system is a network composed of multiple layers of filamentous fibers.

It is light in body but tough in texture and cannot be broken. The cross section shows the 3 chambers of the ovary, forming 3 large cavities with a few remaining black seeds inside. There is no gas and the taste is light. The ones with thin tendons, tough texture, white color and no skin are better.
