The storyline of SpongeBob SquarePants revolves around the protagonist SpongeBob SquarePants, his best friend Patrick, his neighbor Squidward, and his boss Mr. Krabs, and is set in a city called Bikini Bottom at the bottom of the Pacific Ocean.On January 30, 2005, the film was awarded the 32nd Annie Award for "Best TV Animation Production".

SpongeBob SquarePants lives in a pineapple house in the town of Bikini Bottom, home to SpongeBob SquarePants and Snail, a pineapple that was dropped from one of the ships. Squidward's home, located between SpongeBob's home and Patrick's home, is in the shape of a dark blue Easter Islander figure. Patrick's home, located next door to Squidward's home. It has a reddish-brown semi-circular stone exterior, and the furniture inside is made of sand. The homes of SpongeBob, Squidward and Patrick are side-by-side and separate, and there is no one else's home in the neighborhood except theirs. SpongeBob's favorite thing to do with Patrick is to catch jellyfish and make delicious Krabby Patties.
