Sakurako (Japanese: さくらももこ, real name Miura Miki) born May 8, 1965, was a Japanese manga artist and author. Born in Shimizu City, Shizuoka Prefecture (now elevated to Shimizu-ku, Shizuoka City). Her family runs a fruit and vegetable store.

After making her official debut in 1984, she began drawing the manga Cherry Mariko in 1986 under the pen name Sakurako, based on her childhood experiences, with the protagonist's name also being the pen name of Miura Miki, and the protagonist's birthday also being Miura Miki's birthday. Sakurako's vivid and witty writing style made "Cherry Maruko" popular in Asia outside of Japan.
