Yangling was called Guanyin Mountain in ancient times. Later, it was renamed Yangling in memory of Wang Yangming, a famous Ming Dali scholar, philosopher, politician and strategist, who fought against bandits.

Later, Mr. Wang Yangming, a famous Ming Dali scholar, philosopher, politician and strategist at home and abroad, smashed bandits and set up a county, which was renamed Yangling in memory of Wang Yangming. The original Guanyin Temple, which has been destroyed, still has Guanyin Spring.

There is a clear spring in the back hill of Yunyin Temple, which keeps flowing all the year round. It is said to be Guanyin Spring, which can cure all diseases by bathing or drinking. Now, many ladies come here to use this spring to bathe their noodles. It is said that the beauty effect is extraordinary. The maple tree on the west side of the main entrance of Yunyin Temple did not shed a leaf for three years, thinking it was dead. When Yunyin Temple was repaired and restored, the dead branches bloomed in spring and were very dense, and it was said that it was an ancient Guanyin tree. There is also a legend that a long time ago, there were hundreds of families living around Yangling. At that time, there was a demon at work, and fog was applied, which caused Yangling mountain people to suffer from eye diseases. It was useless to search for famous doctors for treatment. One day, Guanyin passed by this place, and he took a look at the clear spring with Taoism, treating eye diseases for the mountain people with the spring. In order to curb the evil spirits, another Guanyin tree was lit to bless the mountain people to live safely. Guanyin, after all, was kind-hearted and didn't completely subdue the demon, but locked it in the Guanyin tree to make it repent. However, the demon changed his ways and never changed his nature. Not only did he not repent, but he also cunningly tricked Guanyin into taking off his chains and continued to plague everywhere. Later, it was known by the western Buddha, and the Zhenshan Buddha was sent to completely subdue the demon, which is still under the Buddha.

yangfeng scenic spot. From the parking lot to the main peak, climb a skyscraper ladder, which consists of 838 steps and is divided into two platforms. The first platform has a memorial arch-"the top of Yangling"; The second platform has an octagonal pavilion. Climbing from the skyscraper ladder to the top of Yangfeng Peak, you can hear the crunchy sound of "drumming" when you walk, which adds a lot of fun to mountaineering, hence the word "listening" on the side of the ladder.

Yangfeng is 1295 meters above sea level, with a relative elevation difference of 1122 meters. The interest of Yangfeng lies in height, danger, cloud, stone and cuckoo. Climbing to the top of Yangling, after 838 steps, it has the feeling of "going straight into the sky". From Qiyunge East to Tianzhu Pavilion, you can experience its height as much as possible-the mountains are all prostrate, the other mountains all appear dwarfs under the sky.; Its danger-twists and turns, the wall stands steep. Yangling is the birthplace of Yangming Lake and West Lake, with a relative height difference of over 1,111 meters. In addition, the dense forest and transpiration of the lake make it misty all the year round, and the clouds are steaming and hazy, which is very spectacular. In the autumn afternoon, after the rain cleared, there was a phenomenon of "Buddha's light". Yangling rock belongs to Danxia stone, which looks like a giant Buddha, a carp, a divine dog and a golden turtle. There are rhododendron bushes all around Yangfeng. "In April, the beauty of the world is exhausted, and the rhododendron begins to bloom here." Every April and May, the mountains are covered with red, the layers of forests are dyed, and they are colorful, or red, or white, or purple, or red and white, and there are many varieties.

The main peak is built with a radio and television tower and a post and telecommunications signal relay station, which is beautiful in appearance. The two towers are collectively called the Yangfeng Twin Towers. There is a Buddha worship platform on both sides of the main peak, and there is a stone here that looks like a sideways Buddha face. We call it Zhenshan Giant Buddha.

Waterfall Scenic Area is deep in Yangling forest, and there are many waterfalls, among which Yilongtushui Waterfall and Lanxi Waterfall are the most famous. Longtushui Waterfall, named after it, seems to spit water from Wolong. The waterfall falls by 18.6 meters. Followed by another Lanxi Waterfall with a drop of 15.8 meters. Here Lanxi meanders, full of bluegrass, and at the turn of summer and autumn, it blooms, lingering fragrance, refreshing. So it is called Lanxi. This pavilion under the waterfall, called Lanxi Pavilion, is for tourists to have a rest. The water comes out of the waterfall, and the peaks on both sides stand tall, forming Lanxi Canyon. Water passes through the canyon, swaying in the wind and fragrant. Lanxi Waterfall and Lanxi Canyon are the areas with the highest negative ion content. Resting in Lanxi Pavilion or strolling in Lanxi Canyon is better than taking oxygen in the oxygen bar, which makes people feel refreshed.

Yangling mountain forest below 711 meters above sea level in the rainforest scenic spot is mainly primitive broad-leaved forest. Below Lanxi Waterfall are virgin forests. Primitive forest refers to a forest community that is inaccessible to people or has not suffered man-made damage, and its main sign is that there are many fallen trees. Rainforest has another concept, which has three characteristics: strangulation, parasitism and evergreen. Yangling valley rainforest is both a virgin forest and a rainforest. The trees on both sides of the valley are tall and straight, and the rattan forest is thick. There are also extremely precious biological genes in the subtropics in this area. According to the preliminary investigation, there are 371 species of woody plants belonging to 87 families, including 12 species of Metasequoia glyptostroboides and Taiwania flousiana, and 63 species of provincial protected trees. There are 135 species of wild vertebrates, among which 32 species are rare animals under national first-class and second-class protection, such as pheasant, silver pheasant and giant salamander.
