In Wangjing Store in Xibei Youmian Village, Chaoyang District, the chefs in the transparent kitchen are busy in an orderly way, and all the dishes are made in front of customers. "It is meaningful to open the kitchen, and ordinary people should have the right to know." Ms. Han, a customer who dined here, said.

Huatian Yanji Restaurant located in Xicheng District is an old-fashioned restaurant. In its head office, monitors have been hung up in the dining area on each floor to "sun" the kitchen to customers in a multi-picture, all-round way and without dead ends. "I work nearby and always eat here at noon." Customer Mr. Liu pointed to the display screen on the wall and said, "I don't often look up and see the operation of the kitchen with my own eyes."

"There are two main ways to make the kitchen public, one is a transparent kitchen, and the other is a video kitchen." Duan Zhiyong said. Up to now, there are 17,584 catering service units in 16 districts of Beijing, which have made the kitchen public.
