I'm a senior at the School of River Engineering Science (after the start of school). If you're a freshman, I'll tell you some unfortunate news. Your major is a freshman in the new campus of River Engineering, and you didn't move to Hongqiao until your junior year. Only the third compound (electrical, mechanical and chemical) was transferred. Make the following comparison:
Beichen Hongqiao
Dormitory number: 6 6
Independent bathroom: none
Balcony: there are some situations (some dorms have them)
Cooling mode: small fan ( Up to now, it's good that the wind is full, but some beds can't blow, so you should try to go a day or two earlier when you report to the
road, and grab a bed that can blow the wind)
However, there are relatively many buildings in Hongqiao, and many buildings in front of and behind the dormitory are windproof, which makes the dormitory poorly ventilated in summer, and the temperature in the dormitory is easily higher than that outside. On the contrary, the dormitory in Beichen is empty and windy. In summer, the dormitory and classroom can be about 5 degrees lower than the outside (somatosensory temperature). However, the weather in Tianjin itself is extremely extreme and it is very hot in summer.
tap water from Tianjin is used for water pipes now, which is fine in summer and particularly cold in winter.
Transportation:
Hongqiao is about one kilometer away from Tianjin West Railway Station (it is said that it is the largest railway station in Asia), and there are various buses, which are close to Tianjin Metro Line 1.
Beichen: There is only one 649 bus to the city. Take this bus for 15 minutes to reach the terminal of Tianjin Metro Line 1, and the entrances are Beijing-Taiwan Expressway (formerly Jingfu Expressway) and Jinbao Expressway (seemingly yes).
The learning environment in Beichen is relatively good, because it is relatively partial, so you can only choose to study or surf the Internet at school. . .
The cost of living in Beichen is also low. As far as canteens are concerned, the price of vegetables in Beichen canteen can be one-third lower than that in Hongqiao canteen.
Campus natural environment:
Hongqiao: They are all old trees, big and lush, and close to Xigu Park, one of the largest parks in Tianjin (it was originally a student activity place in the school, but it was "returned" to Tianjin due to historical reasons. According to an insider, in fact, the three campuses of Hongqiao were originally one campus. Later, the school was going to move to Shijiazhuang, Hebei Province, and part of it was sold to Tianjin, and then it was not.
Beichen: Part of the original cultivated land and fish pond is about 1.6 square kilometers (calculated by myself). The school is under construction, and the basic facilities are all perfect. The environment is quite original, and the reeds are about one person high. Last year, we can still see new people taking wedding photos. However, with the development of the campus, reeds are becoming less and shorter, and I don't know if there will be any more this year. The tree has grown for seven years, which is bigger than when I entered school. What centennial celebration garden (founded in 1913 ...) is being stirred up now. Peach, pear and pomegranate trees are all available, and you can eat them if you want to live, as well as cherry trees.
well, that's all, and the code word is quite tired. Go on preparing for the postgraduate entrance examination. Hegong used to be very nb, but unfortunately it is going downhill. Personally, I think it may be related to the fact that this school is in Tianjin and belongs to Hebei. Hebei will not invest in Tianjin, and Tianjin will not support schools for Hebei. The economic base determines the superstructure, which is tragic. Of course, the name of the school makes people think that it is a school in a relatively underdeveloped area and there are no good students.
You will feel uncomfortable when you first come to school. Just get used to it slowly. I wish you a happy college life.
