General situation of Dayuwan village
Dayu Bay is endowed with the aura of Mulan, while Zhong Ling is beautiful and talented. According to the genealogy of the village, there were three satraps in the Song Dynasty and four ministers in the Five Dynasties. The villagers here are smart and hardworking, and sculptors, painters, masons and carpenters are very famous, especially potters, who were once called "the four great potters in the Ten Han Dynasties". Today, the pottery industry here is still very developed, and many people in the distance still keep the habit of using Mulan's "Sichuan goods".

Dayuwan Village was selected as the second batch of famous Chinese historical and cultural villages. The architecture of Dayuwan is a typical Wuyuan residential style. Looking closely at the genealogy, the settlers are indeed related to Wuyuan, Jiangxi. In the second year of Hongwu in Ming Dynasty (1369), a large family named Yu moved from Wuyuan and Dexing in northwest Jiangxi to the vicinity of Mulan Mountain today. The name of Dexing village in northern Sichuan originated from Dexing, Jiangxi. However, Yuwan in southern Sichuan has preserved dozens of stone houses in Ming and Qing Dynasties (mainly during Jiaqing period of Qing Dynasty), and its architectural style is a masterpiece of Hubei folk houses, which has high architectural research value and archaeological value.

Although Dayu Bay is now very famous, the villagers still live a simple and quiet life, with old people sitting at the door chatting and children playing freely in the alley. When tourists come to visit the village, they will enthusiastically show you the way and let them walk freely in the village.

The mountain behind Dayuwan Village is continuous, which is the remnant vein of Mulan Mountain. Not far away, Qinshui River flows slowly around the hill like a silver belt. Climbing to the top of the mountain and overlooking the foot of the mountain, you can have a panoramic view of Dayu Bay, which lies quietly between green mountains and green waters, calm and carefree.

Dayuwan, located at the foot of Mulan Mountain, has beautiful scenery and a long history, and a large number of well-preserved Ming and Qing buildings are antique. With the rapid development of local tourism, Dayuwan has developed from a poor and backward village into a famous historical and cultural village in China, a famous tourist village in Hubei Province and one of the top ten charming villages in Wuhan.

Small bridges and flowing water, blue tiles and cornices, crowing of chickens and barking of dogs, rice porridge and crispy rice ... Walking into Dayuwan, I forgot the hustle and bustle of modern cities, leaving behind the envy and yearning for being able to settle down in a country like ink painting.

When the reporter came to Dayuwan, 80-year-old Yu Yongqi's father was chatting with residents at the entrance to the village. He is the curator of huangpi district Cultural Center and knows the ins and outs of the village like the back of his hand. He told reporters that the ancestors of Dayuwan migrated from Wuyuan, Jiangxi Province in the early Ming Dynasty. The history of more than 600 years has left a large number of Ming and Qing dwellings and towering trees here. Fresh air and beautiful rural scenery make people living here live longer.

"The north wind blows at the new South Bridge in Gu Xi Street, Dongcun, and the spring buds sprout, the summer leaves are green, the autumn colors are even mountains, and the plum blossoms reflect the snow." This is a couplet posted on my father's door, and it is also a microcosm of the villagers' life in Dayuwan. After working and living outside for many years, Yu Dad refused his children's suggestion to invite him to live in Guangzhou. Instead of living in Wuhan, he chose to return to the village to settle down.

Under the guidance of the policy of benefiting farmers, Dayuwan vigorously develops the tourism economy, and historical and cultural exhibitions, ancient architecture exhibitions, film studios and farmers' leisure have injected new vitality into the old village. The villagers started a farmhouse, and the young people found jobs in the tourist area at their doorstep. Even rowing dragon boats and singing operas, which amuse themselves during the slack season, have become the highlight of the temple fair in the first month of each year, attracting a large number of tourists.

According to Yu Shaoliang, the person in charge of Dayuwan Village, in the next step, the village will build a number of new buildings with beautiful environment and complete facilities for villagers to live in and improve the living environment, which is conducive to the protection and development of old houses.
