Guanling is located in the eastern part of Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau, with abundant rainfall, abundant sunshine and long frost-free period. It has the advantages of producing out-of-season vegetables in winter and spring, and delaying production in summer and autumn, which can meet the needs of uninterrupted production of high-quality vegetables throughout the year. In the mid-1980s, the county began to develop early-maturing vegetables in the low-heat valley areas of Beipanjiang River and Dabang River.
In the process of developing vegetable industry, in recent years, Guanling aimed at Hong Kong and Macao markets, introduced Dongguan Feng Run (International) Vegetable Trading Center, accelerated the construction of an important vegetable base facing Hong Kong and Macao, and became one of the "vegetable gardens" in Hong Kong and Macao.
Guanling also adopts the model of "company+base+cooperative+farmer" and develops in groups. At present, the standardized vegetable production base in Guanling for Hong Kong and Macao has reached 22,000 mu, with an annual output of 65.438+0.3 million tons of vegetables, an output value of 65.438+0.5 billion yuan and an annual income of more than 75 million yuan.
Driven by Hong Kong and Macao markets, up to now, the county has built four vegetable bases: one is the production base of 38,200 mu of early-maturing vegetables and winter fruits and vegetables within 24 kilometers of Dabang River Basin. Second, the base of early-maturing vegetables10.2 million mu peas (beans), the production base of early-maturing watermelons and early-maturing vegetables in Beipanjiang Valley and Puli Township with Xinpu Town as the center. Third, develop a vegetable base at an altitude of 1.200- 1.400 m 1.67 million mu. The fourth is the 1 10,000 mu leafy vegetable production base in Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan centered on Guansuo.
In 20 13 years, Guanling completed the vegetable planting area160,500 mu, with a total output of 266,300 tons and an output value of 533 million yuan. 25% of farmers' per capita net income comes from vegetable cultivation.
