1, seedbed selection
Pepper seedbed should be located in leeward, sunny, thick and soft soil and normal irrigation and drainage. The previous crops in the soil should not be potatoes, peppers and other crops. Then control the area according to the planting amount, and the seedling ditch should not be too wide and too long, otherwise it will affect the growth of seedlings. Then it is necessary to prepare nutritious soil to ensure adequate nutrition, sterility and no insects. Nutrient soil is mainly a mixture of field soil, farm manure and carbendazim. It can not only provide nutrition for seedling growth, but also prevent and control diseases and pests at seedling stage.
2. Seed treatment
Sowing is the main breeding method of pepper. Before sowing, the seeds should be soaked in normal temperature water for about 8 hours. The time should not be too long, otherwise it will lead to serious nutrient loss and reduce the germination rate. It should not be too short, otherwise the seeds will not absorb enough water, which will also affect germination. Drain the seeds after soaking, then put them on a wet cloth and wrap them in plastic bags. Then put the plastic bag at a temperature of about 30 degrees to accelerate germination. When accelerating germination, turn the seeds properly every day to make the seeds heated evenly. After about 5 days, about 75% of the seeds can be sown after exposure.
3, timely sowing
Before sowing, we should first pour enough water on the seedbed, and then we can sow after all the water has penetrated into the soil. The sowing method of pepper is generally broadcast, which should be spread evenly on the seedbed to promote the seedlings to bloom. After sowing, mix the soil with pesticides such as Miaojundi and cover the seeds. Prevent diseases such as pepper seedling collapse. And cover it with a layer of nutrient soil about one centimeter, and then cover it with a plastic film. Improve the heat preservation and moisture retention ability of seedbed, promote seed germination and improve the emergence rate.
4. Seedbed management
After sowing, the temperature should be controlled, and the daytime temperature should be kept at about 22 degrees, and the temperature difference between day and night should be controlled at about 10 degrees. When about 65% of the seeds appear, remove the plastic film. If the temperature is too high at noon, do a good job of ventilation and cooling to prevent the seedlings from being burned by the high temperature. Then it is necessary to control the moisture. If the soil is dry, you can spray water properly, not too much. Then, when the seedlings grow to about two true leaves, they should be properly thinned to maintain strong seedlings and improve the growth space of seedlings. Finally, the seedlings are tempered half a month before planting, so that the seedlings can adapt to the external environment and improve the survival rate.
