Many squid glow by themselves. There is a famous sight in Japan, that is, going out to sea in the middle of the night to watch a group tour of the glowing squid in Toyama, just like fireflies in the sea. These glowing squid can be eaten without poison. The classification of squid in China is not very detailed. In fact, we often eat dozens of kinds of offshore squid, some of which glow, some have eyes, and some glow all over. But they all glow when they are raw, but they don't glow when they are cooked.
