The upper body is brown or olive brown, and the inner feathers of the wings are the same as those of the back. The rest feathers and flying feathers are dark brown, the outer limbs are light brown and slightly olive, and the inner limbs are light taupe. The tail is dark brown, some are slightly dyed light brown, the feather margin is shallow, and there is obvious olive brown. The eyebrow line is brownish white from the root of forehead to the pillow, the eyeliner is dark brown, extending from the eyes to the pillow, and the cheeks and ears are covered with feather brown and light brown. The chin and throat are white with slight skin yellow, the chest is light brown, the abdomen is white with slight skin yellow or gray, the sides are brown, the feathers under the tail are light brown, sometimes with slight brown, and the feathers under the armpits and wings are also yellow. Old Stephane's upper body is a little gray. Young birds are similar to adult birds, but the upper body is dark, the eyebrows are gray and white, and the lower body is light brown.

The iris is dark brown or dark brown, the upper mouth is dark brown, the lower mouth is orange yellow, the tip is dark brown, and the foot is light brown.
