Early Pingju Opera and (Old) Qin Opera (including several types of Bangzi from Shanxi and Shaanxi and the later Hebei Bangzi) troupes often collaborated with Peking Opera actors. The earliest audio data available for this singing tune is the 1940 EMI record "Cheap Bones" (also known as "Reverse Eyes") co-recorded by Peking Opera actor Zhang Chunshan and Pingju Opera actor Zhang Wenyan. The final tune is "Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful". It is the melody of Erhuang Yuanban in Peking Opera, and it is also very similar to Crying Mizi in Pingju Opera. It is also an example of Pingju Opera music absorbing elements of Peking Opera.
Zhang Chunshan and Zhang Wenyan's "Cheap Bones"
This is the melody sung by Zhao Lirong in "Working Adventures". Guo Degang also sang.
