In the drawing software, when the user selects the copy command under the edit menu, the selected object will be copied to the clipboard. The clipboard is a temporary storage area where you can save copied or cut text, images or other data for pasting in other locations.

Once the object is copied to the clipboard, you can put it in the target location by pasting. To paste an object, choose the Paste command under the Edit menu, or use the shortcut keys Ctrl+V(Windows) or Command+V(Mac). Then, the selected object will be pasted into the clipboard.
