Tianmen, a county-level city directly under the central government of Hubei Province, is a member of Wuhan city circle and the middle reaches of the Yangtze River, and is the main node city in the Hanjiang River basin. Located in the south-central part of Hubei Province, in the north of Jianghan Plain, it borders Hanchuan and Yingcheng in the east, Jingshan and Zhongxiang in the north, and Xiantao, Qianjiang and Jingmen across the Han River in the south and west. The northern edge of the city is connected with the low hills of the remaining veins of Dahongshan, and the west and south are surrounded by Hanshui River.

Among them, there are three national first-class protected plants, namely Ginkgo biloba, Metasequoia glyptostroboides and Cycas, and two national second-class protected plants, namely Cinnamomum camphora and Camptotheca acuminata. Fraxinus ash was listed in the second batch of rare and endangered protected plants in China.
