On March 6th, 2004, the Ministry of Land and Resources of China held the unveiling ceremony of the third batch of National Geoparks in Beijing. Representatives of Yang Chun took to the rostrum and accepted the metal nameplate of Lingxiaoyan National Geopark.

In the afternoon, the villagers in Yunfu County, Guangdong Province still walked home by boat along the underground river of Lingxiaoyan after shopping in Yangchun market. This waterway that they have walked for hundreds of years has changed today. Maybe they can't figure out how an underground river that has been flowing in caves for many years has become a national geological park overnight.
