Zhaozhou County is located in the southwest of Heilongjiang Province, north of Songhua River and in the hinterland of Songnen Plain. It is an important county in the golden economic belt of Changchun, Harbin, Daqing and Qiqihar. Located in the first accumulated temperature zone in Heilongjiang Province, it belongs to the mid-temperate continental monsoon climate, with annual active accumulated temperature of 2800℃ and frost-free period 143 days. Covering an area of 2,455 square kilometers, the whole area is alluvial plain with flat terrain, with an average elevation of150m, and it has never been hit by floods in history.
