Geography of Heshan city
Heshan City is located in the lower reaches of Hongshui River in central Guangxi, with a length of about 33.8km from north to south and the shortest distance from east to west 10.9km. It is bordered by Binxian County in the east, west and south, Xincheng County in the north, Nanning 168km in the south and Liuzhou City in the north, with a total area of 350km. Heshan City is located near the Tropic of Cancer and belongs to the subtropical monsoon humid climate. The annual precipitation is1203-1719mm, and the annual average temperature is 20.06 degrees Celsius. It is characterized by abundant sunshine, warm climate, abundant rainfall and long frost-free period. The highest peak in the whole territory is April 8th Ridge. The population of Heshan City is10.6 million, and there are 13 ethnic groups, of which Zhuang nationality accounts for 63%, Han nationality accounts for 35%, and Mongolian, Hui nationality, Miao nationality, Yao nationality, Dong nationality, Shui nationality, Yi nationality, Manchu nationality, Mulao nationality, Maonan nationality and Beijing nationality account for 2%.
