33 Experiences of Outdoor Sports Equipment Configuration
1, (highly recommended! ) Another use of towels. It's the most common cotton towel, the thicker one. Put it on your back to absorb sweat before strenuous exercise, and take it out immediately after exercise. You will feel comfortable and your underwear will dry much faster. It is best to cooperate with sweat-wicking underwear. Take more copies and change them several times.
2, cheap chemical fiber underwear. I once saw someone climbing a mountain in ordinary thermal underwear, which was terrible! Special sweat-wicking underwear is best. Don't wear cotton if you don't have it for the time being. Go to a stall or supermarket to find that kind of chemical fiber (usually acrylic) underwear. Although it can't catch up with sweat-wicking underwear, it is much better than needle cotton underwear!
3, (highly recommended! ) Reject jeans. I don't need to say much about this, but I noticed that there are still many novices playing outdoors in jeans. Maybe some people still think jeans are durable and strong. In fact, cotton products are neither strong nor wear-resistant, and their physical properties are not suitable for outdoor sports. Once it rains, wades or sweats a lot, you will know the shortcomings of jeans. Take it off quickly, even wearing a pair of chemical fiber pants with more than 20 yuan is better than it.
4. Choice of shoe size. Almost all textbooks say that the size of hiking shoes is 1 to 1.5. My experience is different. My experience in wearing shoes has always been that new shoes are tight and old shoes are loose, and they are tight in the morning and loose at night. The longer I travel, the more relaxed I am. Therefore, I think you must not buy too big shoes. Shoes that are too big are uncomfortable and easy to blister, and the most fitting thing is. Of course, the first question is to try on shoes with thick socks.
5, shoelaces are easy to loose. This little problem is annoying, but it can be solved by tying it with a rubber band. Or use small pieces of cables of various household appliances to tie the wires, which can be tied more firmly.
6. The insole is wrinkled. Many people have encountered the problem of wrinkling the insole in shoes. I have an idea: cut a nylon chopping board (very thin, translucent, flexible, the key is the material, almost the same) into the shape of an insole, and then simply sew it together with the insole, OK, and solve it completely. In addition, I recommend a so-called health insole sold in supermarkets, which has particles on the surface and the brand has forgotten. As long as a few dollars, it is better than the insoles bought by outdoor shops for dozens of dollars. Some people may have questions about its particles. Don't worry, it is this particle that is comfortable.
7, the life door of the jacket. As long as the quality is acceptable, the structure of the coat is strictly waterproof, but there are cuffs. There is no glue at the joint between the cuffs and sleeves of the jacket I have seen. After a long time in the rain, water will seep here. Archaeopteryx is a well-designed place, but it is too expensive, so I haven't found a good solution to this problem. Fortunately, the forearm doesn't sweat much and needs plastic bags to handle it.
8. (Highly recommended! ) liberation shoes. This is really a good deal. Low price, good skid resistance and small size. No matter how good the hiking shoes are, you must change them and relax when camping at night, right? Hundreds of wading shoes have an unavoidable problem in the stream: the mesh of the upper will always sand up, but liberation shoes are very important. (However, the protective property of liberation shoes is too poor, and it will hurt your feet if you wear them for a long time. )
9. (Highly recommended! ) find the way. Unless you originally planned to cross a no-man's land, and you are going to open your own way in terms of materials and ideas, don't force your way through a place where there is obviously no road, whether you can't find the road temporarily or you plan to take a shortcut. Not only will you get hurt, but you won't save time and energy at all. It is wise to turn around honestly and continue to look for the existing road. You can try a few more times if you don't believe me.
10, (for reference only) marching rhythm. A common saying is to travel for 30 minutes and rest for 5 minutes or travel for one hour and rest 10 minutes. Personally, I think this can only be used as a reference. Everyone's physical strength and habits are different, and the suitable rhythm is also different. The rhythm is faster. The most enjoyable way to walk is to walk for about 3 hours and rest for 20 minutes (horizontal exercise). In addition, as far as the arrangement of a few days is concerned, it is best to slow down on the first day and return to normal the next day. You must get used to it, otherwise it will be very uncomfortable.
1 1, (for reference only) step size problem. Most textbooks say you should take smaller steps, but my experience is different. I am used to walking with a big stride (slightly bigger than usual) for a long time, and I feel more relaxed. Because the total number of steps is reduced, it may be beneficial to reduce foot wear? )
12, don't take off your shoes at rest. Walking for a long time will definitely swell your feet, and once you take off your shoes, it will be uncomfortable to put them on again.
13, backpack waterproof. The mountaineering bag itself is waterproof, and the rain cover is also an indispensable and useful thing. However, if you are caught in the rain for more than three or four hours, you will know that the rain cover is not completely reliable. Although the waterproof bag is good, its capacity is limited. It is recommended to wrap clothes and sleeping bags in large plastic bags (the kind packed in household appliances, big enough). This is especially necessary in upstream activities.
14, (strongly recommended) How to pack sleeping bags. Most people like to use compressed sleeping bags. No! This method has long been abandoned. Anyway, the sleeping bag is on the bottom floor and no extra packaging is needed. Just put it in your backpack and press it hard. Only in this way can we make full use of the space, and the packed bag is full inside and full in appearance.
15, GPS and compass. This topic is actually a bit redundant, because many people have already talked about it. GPS is a good thing, very professional. Unfortunately, there are too many restrictive factors in its use: too much power consumption, too easily affected by weather and terrain, and slow response.
Many people also like to carry military compasses, and the more popular ones are Type 62 and Type 65. It is recommended to use a compass for orienteering (in fact, it is not professional orienteering, but plexiglass, about the size of a mobile phone). In fact, the military compass is not suitable for outdoor use, and it is too heavy. The functions of slope meter, odometer, speed dial, accurate positioning and ranging are not very easy to use. Directional cross-country compass is light, simple and practical, and the quality of twenty or thirty yuan is good enough.
16, circuit breaker. Of course, the dog's legs are very imposing, but it is too powerful for an old cow to drive a rabbit away against the flexible thorns and weeds on the mountain road. Cutting down trees is of course good, but personally, as long as it is not millet, don't touch it. I use a Swedish ASE, which is long, thin, thin, light and sharp and easy to open.
17, water bag nozzle. The mouth of the platypus water bag is bare and easy to get dirty. When the backpack is put on the shoulder carelessly, it is easy to squeeze out water to wet the back. The suction nozzle of this kind of water pipe can be pulled off, and it is easy to make a cover with a plastic box filled with film. Fuji is recommended, and the white and translucent ones are more eye-catching.
18, kettle. To be coquettish and show yourself as an outdoor donkey, Lacken and SIGG are necessary and practical, and the military pot is the best. High cost performance, very strong. Lacken and SIGG are a little lighter, but they are flat when they are hit, and the cork slips easily. Besides, does it take a week to drink a pot of water? Of course, the beverage bottle is also very good.
19, stainless steel small mouth cup. They are sold in the supermarket. 7cm caliber is more suitable, which is only a few dollars and will not be worn out. Use this when camping and use a water bag with a straw when traveling. It is a very good match. When not in use, use small pieces to hang on the backpack, which is also convenient for scooping water in the stream on the way.
20. sunglasses. Generally, it is not necessary. A hat with eaves is enough. There is really nothing dazzling in the mountains. Sunglasses are essential in the ice and snow, but you may need a pair of snow goggles more, and it must be fog-proof. At low temperature, snow goggles that can't prevent fog are basically waste.
2 1, simple crampons. The so-called four-tooth crampons are cheap and simple, only a few tens of dollars. Those with high DIY level can make one by themselves. The name of this thing is crampons, but few people actually use four teeth on the snowy mountain. On an ordinary mountain road, when the road is very slippery, this simple thing can play a key role. Personally, I think trekking poles can be carried without this thing.
22, light box cloth. Summer sleeping mats are mainly used in winter to prevent the bottom and bottom of tents from freezing together in snow and ice weather. It is suggested to pull a little advertising light box cloth in the signboard shop instead. There are several colors, which are very cheap and strong, but the disadvantage is that the proportion is a bit large.
23. Disposable tablecloth. The film type used in low-end restaurants is sold in supermarkets. It is cheap, light and versatile.
24. Zippo lighter. Many people think zippo has something to do with the outdoors. In fact, it is not good outdoors, which is far worse than disposable lighters. Let's use it at home once! Take a few more pictures and put them in different places.
25. map protection Make a copy first (color printing is best) and use this picture as a mark on the way. Then buy some glass films from the decoration shop, which are flowerless and transparent, or buy some transfer films (actually glass films) from the signboard shop, and smooth the original picture and stick it on it, and the original picture will become waterproof and strong.
26. Work gloves. Now the labor insurance shop has a kind of rubber-coated gloves. The gloves themselves are made of cotton thread, and the palms and fingers are covered with a thick and soft layer of rubber (most of the rubber is yellow and some are white). This kind of gloves are rough in workmanship, but they are better in anti-slip and puncture resistance than any work gloves, and they are also very comfortable to wear.
27. Cream candy and chocolate. These two things have obvious effects when they are used to temporarily supplement physical strength. Once you feel weak due to excessive consumption and insufficient supply on the way, you can take a few tablets and it will have an effect after ten minutes. Of course, you can also eat when you don't feel weak. Now there is a supermarket called. Milk powder tablets? Our dairy products, in the form of tablets, are also good.
Many pharmacies can also buy oral glucose granules, and it is also a good choice to mix them in a kettle. Of course, there are also specialty foods, energy bars and so on. I haven't tried it, and I don't know how it is.
28. drink water. The book doesn't say don't drink water when you are thirsty. No matter how you drink it, the water demand of the human body is certain, and it may be wasted even if you are not thirsty.
Don't prepare too much food. In fact, you can't finish it at all. How many of these things have entered the stomach and played a role? We play outdoor sports, not organizing dinners, nor training for survival in the wild. Which place we are going to is really no man's land? You can only eat some of these things, and the rest will be given to farmers or sacrificed to the land father-in-law halfway. Remember: don't use your backpack as a pawn? Supermarket? .
30. How much clothes to wear to sleep. The experience I heard before is that sleeping with more clothes will be cold, and sleeping with less clothes will be warm. Later, it was found that this was simply wrong! Putting on more clothes is definitely warmer. If the temperature scale of your sleeping bag is not high enough, you'd better sleep in a sweater. Of course, wearing too many sleeping bags will be too tight and uncomfortable.
3 1, manicure. This is mainly aimed at MM. Don't leave long nails in hard outdoor activities, which will affect your work, and it is easy to hide evil people and shelter evil people, and it is also easy to get hurt.
32. Prevent blisters on your feet. Don't say the shoes fit. If you find that the soles of your feet are uncomfortable and the local position is irritable during the trip, it is generally a precursor to blistering. It is best not to take any chances, and quickly put enough gauze and tape on the painful edge to change the stress on the soles of the feet. If you have a blister, it is necessary to puncture and drain it (the old man taught you to tie a ponytail for the blister), but don't cut off the skin of the blister, or you will die of pain when you walk the next day!
33. Potassium permanganate. This thing is omnipotent. Besides disinfection, it is also an emetic. If you eat something poisonous, melt some water and vomit immediately. In addition, few people know that it is also a very effective external snake medicine, which can quickly neutralize snake venom (both neurotoxic and blood toxic). Take out the broken tooth immediately after being bitten by a snake, and enlarge the wound with a knife (not too deep! ), then fill the wound with potassium permanganate powder (a small amount is enough), and then continue other first aid for a while.
The key to packaging is to know the equipment.
Reasonable distribution of weight
Generally, it is best to concentrate the weight of the backpack on the hips to avoid the weight falling on the shoulders or back. And no matter what terrain you walk on, try to keep the weight close to your back and keep the center of gravity between your shoulders.
Walking on an ordinary mountain road, you can put heavy objects on the top of your backpack, which helps you focus on your hips, which is the part of your body that can bear heavy burdens. (as shown in figure 1)
If you walk on the rugged adventure road, you should adopt the opposite strategy, and put the heavier items in the middle of the main cabin of the backpack, so that the weight will be dispersed to the shoulders and back, and the center of gravity will be reduced, making it easier to maintain balance. (as shown in figure 2)
Tightening all the compression belts and limiting the sliding of the equipment in the backpack will move the center of gravity of the backpack and easily make people lose their balance. Try to tie things as little as possible outside your backpack, otherwise it will affect your balance when traveling. Protect the equipment hanging outside, and don't let them shake and collide with each other to make a click. If you take part in a team activity, you should distribute the weight to other members reasonably, and don't let yourself inadvertently become a horse, so as to preserve your strength.
Girls or shorter people, no matter what terrain they take, will habitually put heavy things at the bottom of their backpacks. It doesn't matter. After all, what kind of packaging style you adopt ultimately depends on yourself. The first condition is that you feel comfortable and convenient. Make sure that some items are placed where they are easy to take out, instead of "rummaging through the boxes". Such as maps, compasses, sunglasses, insect repellent, snacks, kettles, headlights or flashlights, raincoats and backpacks.
Knapsack decomposition
Tent: Tent is divided into three parts: tent, tent pole and ground nail. These three parts are rolled together when buying, but don't put them in the bag as they are, because the long tent narrows the remaining space in the bag, which makes it difficult to fill other items and disperse the weight, so as to keep the center of gravity of the backpack in the middle.
The suggested way is to fold the account book like a quilt, tie it tightly with a flat belt or pack it in a compression bag, and the ground nails are also sandwiched in the account book (the ground nails must have protective covers to avoid bad debts). The folded account is recommended to be placed at the top of the backpack, which is more in line with the camping order. In a camp, tents are often set up first, and then other things are done. When the camp is evacuated, the things in the tent are packed, and then the tents are folded.
The tent pole is placed along the side of the backpack near the back (at this time, the compartment of the backpack should be relaxed so that the tent pole can be inserted into the bottom of the backpack). Tent poles can be hung on both sides of the backpack, but it is best to put them in the backpack when walking in the jungle, mainly to better protect the tent poles.
Scattered articles: Scattered articles are uneven in volume, different in weight and texture, so the filling methods are different. For soft materials (such as hats, gloves, etc. ), it is suggested to fill the gap between large, hard and tangible materials. For hard and irregular small items (such as stoves), it is recommended to put them in containers such as pots and lunch boxes, which not only saves space, but also effectively protects these small items. Small items that can be taken at any time should be placed on the second floor (under the tent), on the same floor as the food.
Water and food: food is packaged in a similar way to scattered items, and its position is also on the same level. As for water, it is often a large part of all items, and its placement is directly related to the center of gravity of the backpack, which in turn affects the whole journey. But everyone has different bearing capacity and comfort. Put water (usually three liters) in the middle of the backpack, that is, the third floor, so that the center of gravity of the whole backpack is above the middle, which will have the best comfort (personal experience). Check whether your fuel bottle is sealed and placed under the food, even if it leaks, it will not pollute the food.
Clothes and sleeping bags: Every time I pack my luggage, I always compress my sleeping bag with a compression bag and stuff it into the bottom compartment of my backpack. Clothes, especially those traveling in winter, such as fleece and down jacket, have good compressibility and can be packed in compression bags, placed under backpacks and above sleeping bags. In this way, the space occupied by the clothes can be compressed as much as possible by the weight of the above items, and can also be conveniently taken out of the bottom box when necessary. As for the emergency raincoat, you can put it in the top pocket of your backpack for easy access at any time.
List of necessary equipment for camping in the wild
1. tent: a single-story tent can be prepared in the north or in a place with little rain, which can withstand less than 2_3 hours. Double-decker tents should be chosen in rainy season, which can generally withstand 7-8 hours of light rain.
2. Sleeping bag: essential things for camping in the wild, including down, acrylic cotton and thread weaving. Choose according to the weather. Types of sleeping bags in reference (14)
3. Moisture-proof pad: the wear-resistant layer is divided into single layer and double layer, with flat surface and egg nest surface, as well as inflatable pad, which can be selected according to your requirements.
4. Cookware: There are gas stoves, vaporization stoves and alcohol stoves in the choice of cookers, which are very useful in places where fire is forbidden in the wild.
5. Bucket pot: A set of pots specially designed for mountaineering and camping. Large, medium and small pots are nested together with small bowls, spoons and teacups.
6. Water bag (kettle): an indispensable equipment for outdoor activities. After all, the camp is always far from the water.
7, camping lights, flashlights: it is necessary to travel at night and stay overnight, and you can also choose headlights, which is very convenient.
8。 Fuel: If you don't want to use the stove as a decoration, remember to bring a lighter and moisture-proof matches.
9. Food: canned picnic, bread, instant noodles and biscuits are essential. You can also bring some rice, mutton kebabs, barbecues and snacks.
10, knife: cutting is essential. Just bring a knife to a wild place, usually a multi-purpose Swiss army knife.
1 1. Shovel: You can choose a dual-purpose shovel with an axe. Putting up a tent and leveling the land is hundreds of times faster than unarmed. An axe can cut down some dead wood and trees.
12. emergency medicine: in case of an accident, at least deal with it first, and don't let the damage expand. Please refer to the list of standing drugs in (14).
13. Accessories: compass, map, glasses, swimsuit, mosquito repellent, rubber boat, ice bucket, water filter, telescope, barbecue grill, etc.
14. backpack: generally 50_70 liters is enough for camping for 2_3 days. Be sure to choose a good brand, get familiar and comfortable, and you will know its benefits after a long time.
