There are 18 undergraduate colleges in Hefei, with the names of China University of Science and Technology, Anhui University, Hefei University of Technology, Anhui Agricultural University, Anhui Medical University, Anhui Jianzhu University, Hefei Normal University, Anhui International Studies University and Anhui Xinhua College.

Undergraduate universities are divided into public undergraduate and private undergraduate. Including four types: one public book, two public books, two private books and three private books. Admission batches are divided into one (including key undergraduate and one ordinary university), two (two ordinary universities) and three (three ordinary universities).

Universities can be called "key universities and ordinary universities of 1" or defined as undergraduate universities directly funded by the national government.
