How to mix vertical and horizontal layout in word
When making documents in word, you often encounter some Chinese typesetting, such as joint statement, joint activity, notice, vertical arrangement and so on. Word has a special Chinese typesetting function. If we can make good use of these functions, many Chinese typesetting problems will be solved.

One: vertical and horizontal mixed arrangement

After selecting the text first, we choose the start tag-Chinese typesetting-vertical and horizontal mixed typesetting. If the line width check box is selected, the selection will be displayed vertically at the height of one line. If you uncheck the Fit to Line Width check box, the selection will be arranged vertically.

But why is this arrangement bottom-up? Obviously not in line with our reading habits, so let's take a look at the vertical text box inserted below.

We first choose Insert Tab-Text Box-Draw a vertical text box, and then copy the contents into the text box.

Then we choose 20 19, and choose Chinese layout-vertical and horizontal mixed arrangement in the start tab. At this point, the check box to adapt to the line width is selected. Click OK to display 20 19 horizontally, with the same width as other characters.

If we uncheck the box of line width in vertical and horizontal mixed arrangement, the width of 20 19 will be different from other characters.

Second: merge characters

For example, we want to make a personal seal of Zhang Fei. After selecting the word "Zhang Fei Seal", we choose a combination word in the Chinese layout, and the characters will be displayed as two lines, but the order of the characters is different from the format of our normal seal, so we change the word "Zhang Fei Seal" to "Zhang Fei Seal" and then use the combination word for normal sorting.

After selecting the merged character content generated above, open the border and shading in the paragraph. In the border: set the selection box, choose red as the color and 1.5 points as the width. Then press OK to exit.

Start-in the font, select red as the color, and then open the font settings-Advanced, widen the spacing, and set the point value to 1.5 point. At this time, a personal seal is completed.

Three: Two-way integration

Sometimes we will encounter co-published works, documents or joint activities. Take the following red-headed document as an example to introduce the usage of two lines in one.

Select Beijing Municipal People's Government of Beijing Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China-select China Plate in the start tab-two lines in one-press the space bar after Municipal Committee until it is adjusted to two lines in the preview-then select all the contents, enlarge the font-select the red font color-then select Beijing Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China, and double-click to display it in the center. At this time, the red-headed document for joint posting is ready.

Four: Adjust the width

In the figure below, the Notice on Further Implementing the Policy of Tax Reduction and Fee Reduction is 20 words, of which the first line is "On Further Implementing the Policy of Tax Reduction and Fee Reduction" 15 words. Now we need to adjust these 20 characters to one line, that is, 15 characters in length. How to achieve this?

After selecting the content, select the adjusted width in Chinese layout. The current text width is 20, so we set the new text width to 15. After closing by pressing OK, no matter how we increase or decrease the font size, these 20 words will always be displayed on the same line.

Five: character scaling

In fact, there is no essential difference between character scaling and directly adjusting font size, except that font scaling can specify the scaling ratio, such as 50%, 66% and so on.

For example, as shown in the figure below, if you want to double the characters, you can directly select the character scaling in the Chinese layout, and the ratio can be 50%.
