Introduction of scenic spots
Baishui Temple is located on Lion Mountain, 20 kilometers south of Zaoyang. Baizhu Village at the foot of the mountain is the hometown of Liu Xiu, Guangwu Emperor of the Eastern Han Dynasty. Baishui Temple, formerly known as Linshan Temple, has a history of more than 2,000 years. After Liu Xiu proclaimed himself emperor, he built the "Four Temples" here and went back to his hometown to worship his ancestors five times.
The White Temple stands on the top of the mountain, solemn and simple. Outside the temple, there are picturesque pine trees, rows of cypresses, white water at the foot of the mountain, and bright waves reflect the sky. This temple was originally dedicated to the statue of Liu Xiu, so it is also called Liu Xiu Temple. During the Xuande period of Ming Dynasty, the monk who presided over Zhenlong offered sacrifices to the Buddha in the main hall and to Emperor Guangwu on the west side of the main hall, forming a unique distribution of salaries for the Buddha and the Buddha, which has continued to this day.
There are many landscapes in the temple, including the Heavenly King Hall, Ursa Major Hall, Niangniang Hall, Weapon Hall, Liu Xiudian, Millennium Qinglong Well, Qinglong Pavilion and Millennium Huanglian Tree.
