It is said that moss is a special seasoning made of orange peel, radish, papaya and other ingredients, which is often used in old-fashioned traditional moon cakes, but it is not common now. Moss has always been a controversial food because many people don't like it.
But I have a deep memory of the post-80s generation and their parents! When I was a child, I couldn't wait to open the mooncakes and finish the stuffing, especially the red and green silk.
Pull it out by hand every time, it's greasy and chewy! In the era of poor materials, it is often placed in cakes as decoration to make cakes look more beautiful. The appearance of red and green symbolizes the beauty of life, and people who eat it can be as resilient as this green and red silk!

Green and red silk moon cakes, no matter how people spit, are not only delicious, but also a happy memory for me, a lover of food! Every time I want to eat, my family will buy it.
Compared with the tall packaging now, the previous packaging was very simple: the moon cake was covered with a piece of white paper, and the oil of the moon cake had already penetrated into the paper! In addition to these, all kinds of beautiful greetings are printed on the outside of the paper, and suddenly I feel that the traditional taste is really worth remembering!
