Walking into the "Minnan Water Town" in 99 Bay, I always fantasize that I have a Chinese courtyard with Minnan cultural elements, perhaps because of the faded memory and some feelings of the ancient buildings in southern Fujian.

Slow down, come to Minnan water town to live slowly, and feel that every red brick contains the charm of Minnan. What attracts me most is the exquisite appearance of ancient buildings. Red brick and red tile bluestone are the most common elements in ancient buildings, and all kinds of gorgeous wood carvings, brick carvings and stone carvings are exquisite.

With the theme of "Zhangzhou flavor, southern Fujian customs and ancient feelings", Zhangzhou City will build a characteristic town in southern Fujian, and 99 Bay in Zhangzhou City will be built into Wuzhen, a southern Fujian water town. Among them, the ancient village of Daimei is located at the nanxi river bank of Jiulong River and Daimei Village in Dongyuan Town, Longhai City, two kilometers away from the zhangzhou port exit of Shenhai Expressway, surrounded by Jilong Mountain, damao mountain and Emei Mountain. The ancient village is surrounded by water and there are ancient banyan trees everywhere. It is the largest and most well-preserved ancient civil building complex in southern Fujian, one of the representatives of "Fujian Red Brick" and the fourth batch of provincial-level historical and cultural villages.

Coming out of the road junction, across a vast field, I came to Daimei, Longhai.

What you see are 276 uniform ancient buildings in southern Fujian, red tiles and green trees, clear water around small villages, playful ducks and egrets perched in the water.

A few birds are twittering in the fallen banyan tree, incense is curling in the Temple of Heaven, and roadside vendors are humming the sound of buying and selling in awkward Mandarin. This is my impression of Daimei, a place called "Zhouzhuang in South Fujian".

2. Bus: From Zhangzhou, get off at Longhai Bus Terminal and take Dongyuan Bus. Friends from Xiamen took a speedboat to zhangzhou port at Xiamen Wharf, and then took a bus from zhangzhou port to Dongyuan.

Daimei Village, commonly known as David Village, is located in Longhai City, Zhangzhou, Fujian. Dongyuan village is in the east, Nanxi in the west, Linfeng Village in the south and Chaxie Village in the north. It is an administrative village in Dongyuan Town, Longhai City. Most villagers are surnamed Chen, and they are descendants of "Wang" Chen Yuanguang.

This is a veritable "southern Fujian water town". The whole village is surrounded by water, and an inland river is like a long dragon. If you overlook the whole village from the air, you will find the village floating on the water like an island. This style is not lost to various ancient town resorts in Jiangnan.

When you come here, you will find that this is the gathering place of ancient buildings, where the largest and best-preserved ancient residential buildings in Longhai are preserved so far. There are more than 270 ancient buildings in the village, arranged symmetrically. The arrangement of old and new buildings is orderly, unified and scientific, which is rare in ancient villages in Fujian.

Walking into the village, red brick and gray walls and Yan 'erwei overlook a typical architectural style of southern Fujian. Most of the ancient buildings here are in the structure of Minnan quadrangles with two entrances and four bays, which are spacious and have a traditional charm.

Perhaps the ancient town here is picturesque, poetic and charming. Almost all the villagers living here will plant some flowers and plants in front of their doors and walk into simple and clean alleys with red tiles and white walls. The antique is simple, colorful and unique.

The industrious people in southern Fujian cherish their hometown. Clean and tidy ground, clear rivers, alleys extending in all directions, and all kinds of trees and flowers adorn the village, making it look more beautiful.

Here, you know what the ideal country life is like. Children are running and playing everywhere in the village. The old people sit at their doorsteps in groups of three and five, chatting and chatting. The family takes care of each other, helps each other, and is leisurely and peaceful.

At dusk, in the yard, a family table and a home-cooked meal are the deepest greetings to a hard day. The distant mountains were silent in the afterglow of the sunset. Spots of lights spread to the distance of the village.
