Can be used to make tables (without Excel), as long as it is in the Song Dynasty, it can be viewed on any computer.
But if it is on a web page, there is a problem, because the spacing is disturbing.
Tabs are all width (the hex code of 16 for width spaces is 3000).

The function of tabs (also known as tab stops) is to vertically align text by column without using a table. Common applications are list, simple list and so on. It can also be used to make the header and footer equal to one line, with several alignment positions. You can simply understand the use of tabs through the following examples.
For example, we want to enter the following:
Name | Position | Work
Zhang San | Section Chief | 1300.50
Li Si | Vice President | 1040.00
Wang Jianping | Staff | 890.20
Among them, the name column is aligned to the left, the position column is centered and the salary decimal point is aligned.
1. Create a new document
2. Select a tab in the upper left corner, and click the corresponding position of the ruler (L stands for left alignment tab, C stands for center alignment tab, N stands for decimal alignment tab, and| stands for vertical alignment tab.
L | C | N< ruler
============================
3. Press the TAB key in the text, the cursor will jump to the first tab L, and enter "Name" (you can find that the left side of the name is aligned with L).
4. Press the TAB key again, and the cursor will jump to the second tab C and enter "Location". Because the vertical line alignment label is used to display a vertical line, the cursor will not be positioned where the vertical line is aligned with the label. You can find that the center of the word position is aligned with C.
5. Press TAB again and enter 1300.50. (You can find that the decimal point of 1300.50 is aligned with n)
6. Press Enter to complete the input of this line, and repeat steps 3-5 to input all data.
7. After entering complete data, position the cursor on the last blank line, double-click any tab on the ruler, and click Clear All in the pop-up tab stop dialog box to clear the tab stop of this line.
Eight, okay.
The leading character is the connecting character between the tab and the previous tab, and the most widely used is to make a directory. For example, the following example
Title1..................... (1)
Title II .................... (3)
The way to achieve this is to insert a left-aligned L (or not, because paragraphs are aligned left and right by default) according to the previous example, and then insert a right-aligned R at the end of the line:
L R
Then double-click the tab r, and the tab stop dialog box will pop up. Select "5 …" in the leading character, and then click OK.
Enter "Title I" in the text, and press the TAB key, and the cursor will jump to the position of tab R, and "……" will be filled between "Title I" and TAB R.
When you type (1), "…" will also be shortened automatically to ensure that (1) is aligned to the right. When finished, press Enter to enter the next line.
Summary: As can be seen from this example, the function of tabs is to align text at each tab stop according to the specified tab alignment. Tabulation is a paragraph attribute, which depends on the paragraph. Every different paragraph can have different tab stops, just as different paragraphs can have different line spacing.
Other applications of tab stops:
A, make the header.
There are often some tables with the tabulator on the left and the tabulation date on the right under the title. Generally, people may be accustomed to using spaces to separate them, that is, after entering the tabulator or several spaces, enter the tabulation date. This is more troublesome and not conducive to adjustment. You can insert a right-aligned TAB in the position of the tabulation date, so that after entering the tabulator, just press Tab and the cursor will jump to the last position and enter the tabulation date.
B. Make a list
We often need to print some documents, such as lists and recipes. Because the names are different in length and even mixed in Chinese and English, it is difficult to align columns with spaces. Here we can simply set a few tabs that are aligned in the center, press the TAB key to enter the next name after entering the name, press the Enter key after entering a line, and so on, so that we can easily align the list. After all the lists are entered, you can also select the whole list and adjust the list by dragging the tabs on the ruler, which is very convenient.
