Liping County is a county under the jurisdiction of Qiandongnan Miao and Dong Autonomous Prefecture in Guizhou Province. It is located in the southeast of Guizhou Province, south of Qiandongnan Prefecture, bordering Jingzhou Miao and Dong Autonomous County and Tongdao Dong Autonomous County in Hunan Province in the east, Sanjiang Dong Autonomous County and Rong 'an County in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region in the south, Rongjiang County and congjiang county County in Qiandongnan Prefecture in the west, and Jinping County and Jianhe County in Qiandongnan Prefecture in the north. It is the bridgehead that Guizhou enters the two lakes in the east and Guangdong in the south.
