The exhibition is divided into nine parts: preface hall, social productive forces, class, customary law of family support, marriage and family, religious belief, literature and art, customs and habits, and the struggle of slaves and working people against slavery. Reproduce the original appearance of Liangshan Yi slave society. The film recording and broadcasting hall shows historical information films and various folk films.
According to the architectural style of Yi people, combined with Suzhou garden-style and modern architecture, there are 7 exhibition halls, 1 residential buildings, 1 film and television hall, office, reception room and service department. There are more than 2,000 cultural relics and pictures in the collection, which are divided into eight parts: preface hall, social productivity, class, family support, customary law, religious belief, marriage and family, literature and art, customs and habits, anti-slavery struggle of slaves and working people, and residential courtyards.
