Introduction: This film is based on a true story.

After being beaten by her boyfriend again, Caroline took her son Jack all the way to Seattle, and then met the truck driver Dwight.

Carolyn was tired of running into a wall and wandering around, and decided to marry Dwight, who pursued herself, and followed him back to the remote and backward town of Conliffe.

I thought I could start over, but I didn't expect a more depressed and painful life to wait for them here. Mother and son live in Dwight's shadow every day. Dwight is like one of Caroline's objects. He often abuses Jack.
