Since Camellia was planted in Zhao Pu during the reign of Tang Taihe, tea has been planted and processed locally. In Song Dynasty, brick tea was used as currency to trade tea and horses with Mongolia. The ancient tea-horse road in Yangloudong began in the Song Dynasty and flourished in the Ming and Qing Dynasties. In the early years of Jiajing in the Ming Dynasty, the tea industry was quite developed, and market towns followed suit. At its peak, there were more than 200 teahouses with a population of nearly 40,000. There are 5 main streets and 100 shops in the ancient town. "Cave Tea" is exported to the frontier and overseas, and Yanglou Cave is known as "Little Hankou".
