Susong and Songzi are two county-level cities under the jurisdiction of Anhui Province, China. Although geographically adjacent, there are obvious differences in accents. Susong dialect belongs to a variant of Gan dialect, and Songzi dialect belongs to Southwest Mandarin. Gan dialect is a local dialect in Jiangxi province, and Southwest Mandarin is a variant of Mandarin. Due to the different geographical location and historical background, Susong and Songzi have different pronunciation and intonation.
