Nanjing Art College is the only comprehensive art college in Jiangsu Province and the earliest independent art college in China, which continues to this day. Its predecessor was the Shanghai Academy of Fine Arts founded by Mr. Liu Haisu, the founder of China Fine Arts Education, on 19 12, and 1930 was renamed Shanghai Academy of Fine Arts. Mr. Cai Yuanpei was the chairman of Shanghai Academy of Fine Arts, and wrote lyrics for the school song, inscribed the school motto and learned the motto. From 65438 to 0922, Mr Yan founded Suzhou Academy of Fine Arts in Suzhou. The two earliest private fine arts schools in China merged with the Fine Arts Department and Music Department of Shandong University in 1952 to form East China Art College, which is located in Sheqiao, Wuxi, Jiangsu. The merger was completed on February 8, 65438. Since then, this day has become the anniversary of Nanjing Art Institute. 1958 East China Art College moved to Nanjing Dingjiaqiao.
