Locust, commonly known as "grasshopper".
1. There are three kinds of migratory locusts in China: Locusta migratoria manilensis, Locusta migratoria manilensis and Locusta migratoria manilensis. Among them, Locusta migratoria manilensis is the most widely distributed in China, and its harm is the most serious. It is the most important species of migratory locust in China, which mainly harms gramineous plants and is an agricultural pest.
2. The artificially propagated species of Locusta migratoria manilensis has a fast reproductive ability. It grows into an adult in two months and produces two batches every year, one in May-July in the north, one in July-September, and many batches in the south. It is appropriate to raise locusts in sunny places that need ventilation. Set up a shelf with bamboo pieces and bamboo sticks, and then cover it tightly with gauze special for locusts to prevent locusts from escaping. The appropriate temperature is that if it is too hot, you can shade it properly. Grasshoppers mainly eat grasses with sharp leaves (such as artificially planted ryegrass, Mexican corn grass, yellow bamboo grass, etc.). Weeds include reeds, green bristlegrass, corn leaves and sorghum leaves.
3. Grasshoppers don't need feed and food in the process of reproduction, but mainly need grass to meet their nutritional needs. What they are most afraid of is eating grass with pesticides. If they eat poisonous grass, they will die immediately. The breeding density of locusts is too high, and locusts will kill each other when they are hungry, especially at noon. If there is no grass to eat in the locust shed, they will kill each other badly, and generally don't kill each other in each other's house. Grasshoppers don't like it raining all the time.
If it rains for a long time, the wet locusts will starve to death because they don't eat. It's best to pay attention to rain and moisture when it rains.
In Thailand, there is a book called Eating Insects, and one of the dishes is Fried Shrimp with Locusts. In China, there is a book "Edible Insects and Recipes", which also introduces the eating and nutrition of many insects. It is clearly introduced that grasshoppers contain 73.5% of protein, 18 amino acids, with a total content of 20.3%. Locust also contains vitamin B 1, B2, E, A carotene, rich vitamins, four fatty acids and rich trace elements, and it is a common species.
