During the summer vacation, my mother and I went to my grandmother’s hometown in northern Shaanxi. There are many delicacies there, including noodles, stir-fried dough balls, squid joints, sub-long pancakes, and jelly.
We went to the third wife’s house and saw her family making delicious food and noodles for the guests. They first knead the flour into a very hard dough, then put the dough into the noodle machine and squeezed it with all their strength. The noodles were squeezed out from the small holes in the machine, and they were long and long. Boil the noodles in hot water, put them into a bowl and pour some stir-fried vegetables and meat into the saozi soup, then sprinkle some coriander and green onions, and the noodles are fragrant and ready to eat. When eating, pour some vinegar and oil. Spicy, the taste is so delicious that it makes people drool.
What also impressed me deeply was the Zichang Pancakes. Zichang is a place name because there is a very famous general named Xie Zichang, hence the name. The famous delicacies here are Zichang pancakes and jelly. The weather is very hot in summer and it tastes very delicious.
The delicacies in my hometown in northern Shaanxi are basically made of whole grains, and come in many varieties. I have fallen in love with the delicacies here, and students are welcome to taste the delicacies there!
