30th Anniversary Essay (2): In the spring when the ice and snow melt and everything recovers, Shengli Refinery celebrates its 40th birthday.
Receiving the invitation letter from the Propaganda Department to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the factory reminds me of the hard-working construction period of the refinery. Looking back, as an old party member who once dedicated herself to her, how can she not be deeply touched? Recalling the days when soldiers who fought with guns from barracks walked into refineries and became a member of the oil front construction army, they not only felt ups and downs, but also could not be calm for a long time. The past is like smoke. Although I am 82 years old, deaf and dizzy, and my memory is seriously declining, I still remember the hard struggle of the refinery.
In the early 1970s, I went from a military camp that had been fighting for 32 years to an oil refinery, where I started my own business. It is a major turning point in my life to change from a soldier who has experienced war and bullets to a member of the oil front of the motherland. After the turning point in my life, I came to the refinery and took a new revolutionary post, becoming one of thousands of employees in Shengli Refinery. What impresses me most is that we have refined the spirit of hard work, no conditions, no fear of difficulties, tenacious struggle, selfless dedication and desperation.
Shengli Refinery was an ordinary factory in the early 1970s, with only three units, namely, combined unit, northern atmospheric and vacuum distillation unit and alkylation unit. At that time, the operation room, pump house, dormitory building and workers' families' courtyard were very simple, and simple houses with "dry base" and "linoleum roof" could be seen everywhere. Hu Da is still a bare stone mountain. If you stand at the top of the tower and look around, there are weeds everywhere outside the production equipment.
After working in an oil refinery, I was deeply impressed by the spectacular battle scenes composed of the commandos' flags hunting and waving around and encouraging loudspeakers playing awards, as well as the fierce battle scenes in which the maintenance workers were covered in oil and sweated for the speed of the war. Although there is no smoke, no horn, but you chase after me, sweating like a pig, determined to overcome all difficulties, revolution, hard struggle scene, giving people the feeling that it is a battlefield. At that time, the maintenance workers worked overtime almost every night until 10, and the horn of the construction site was turned off at 10. At the beginning of the maintenance, many cadres and workers fought for days and nights at the scene and didn't go home. The first time I took part in maintenance, I was moved by the fiery scene and enthusiastic workers at the construction site. As the saying goes, "people are iron rice steel", maintenance workers are hard, and logistics is even more important. I was involved in maintenance logistics at that time. During maintenance, the factory department prepared a big bowl of tea for the hard-working maintenance workers, used many large water tanks nearly one meter thick to satisfy the thirst of the hard-working maintenance workers, and tried every means to let the workers drink hot tea at any time. In the 1970s, when it was still difficult to supply food in the planned economy, the factory department organized logistics comrades. At that time, they tried their best to find the source of rice, noodles, meat and fish to meet the needs of employees for lunch and dinner. Moreover, for employees to eat well, a lot of cooking and cooked food have been prepared, and there are more than a dozen kinds of pasta patterns. At that time, life was more difficult. Employees ate meat buns and jiaozi felt that their personalities were good, in order to satisfy employees who had worked hard for a day as much as possible.
After eating the favorite and satisfactory meals, the factory department organized the general managers of some units and institutions to take turns to help the kitchen in the canteen when the canteen was short of staff. Every unit is very supportive of logistics. When I was busy, I began to pack jiaozi and meat buns with you many times. I really want to do my part for the maintenance workers who have been working hard for a long time. When we saw that the canteen and the temporary shed in front of the canteen were crowded with workers who came to eat, we heard that the workers were very satisfied with the food in the canteen, and the comrades working in logistics were very pleased. When the red flag was flying and the horn was loud, the scene of struggling to maintain stability and starting a business with passion under difficult conditions was still very exciting to recall. The cadres and workers who won during the entrepreneurial construction period were covered in oil and sweaty, and you sweaty, which is really unforgettable. Unforgettable victory over the red eye of cadres and workers who fight day and night; I can't forget the years when the revolution and the passion for struggle burned.
Time flies, and forty years have passed in an instant. Forty years of ups and downs, the road to entrepreneurship, forty years of trekking to create brilliant. After 40 years of hardships and hard struggle, Shengli Refinery has built a small factory with an annual output of only 3.5 million tons into a super-large petroleum processing base with an annual output of 1000 million tons, more than 20 sets of equipment and more than 30 kinds of petroleum products, relying on the brave old and new generation cadres, Communist Youth League members and dedicated workers.
The older generation who started businesses in Shengli Refinery are all old now, and many of them have left one after another. What makes the older generation of entrepreneurs feel gratified is that the pump room of crude oil operation room in Shengli Refinery has become a spacious and bright modern computer room with advanced facilities; In the past, the bare Great Tiger Mountain has become a treasure house for employees' leisure and fitness. In the past, the ordinary refinery that simply roughed crude oil has become a bright pearl in the refining industry. Victory tempered people with their own wisdom, hard work and sweat, with their own hands and youth, let a desolate land in the past have undergone earth-shaking changes. It turned a barren land into fertile soil for the benefit of the motherland.
