Power failure in rural areas, why is it more troublesome than water stoppage?
When there was no electricity in the countryside, people used candles and kerosene lamps to complete the lighting at that time. Although I didn't experience that era, when I was a child, the rural electricity was not as sufficient as it is now, and there were frequent power outages. Power failure during the day has little effect on farmers.
Because in the countryside at that time, farmers still cooked mainly with wood stoves, and there were almost no electrical equipment in the villagers' homes. At that time, there were few modern appliances such as refrigerators and air conditioners in rural families, and even cheap appliances such as electric fans were not many at that time.
At that time, the power outage was only affected by the lighting at night, but there were substitutes for candles and kerosene lamps, which could not be said to have a great impact. When the power went out, the time for family gatherings in the village passed quickly.
But if there is a power outage in the countryside, the impact will be great. As we all know, in some rural areas, farmers are not advised to use firewood stoves, nor are they advised to use firewood and coal for heating, saying that it will cause environmental pollution.
In this way, the problem comes. If there is a power failure in the village, it will be a problem for farmers to cook with anything. Although some rural areas already have natural gas stoves, the fuel used has nothing to do with electricity, but in some places where natural gas sources and terminals are set, machines are needed to stabilize the production of natural gas. If these machines have no electricity, natural gas will be unstable or unable to ignite because of pressure, which will affect farmers' lives.
Especially in rural areas where electricity and gas are used for heating in winter, it will definitely affect the villagers' heating. In addition, it is inconvenient for villagers to use washing machines and electric water heaters in winter. The same situation has many problems in summer. Now many families in the countryside have refrigerators. Without electricity, the refrigerator can't cool and the food can't keep fresh. It is much hotter in the countryside now than before. If there is a power outage in summer, fans and air conditioners can't be used, which is also a very hard day for the villagers.
On the other hand, the impact of water cuts in rural areas is not so great.
For example, a few summers ago, I went back to my hometown and was informed that the water supply in the village would be cut off one day. I told my parents this information and asked them to find some containers to receive water, so as not to cut off the water and affect their lives.
Who knows that my parents taught me a lesson, but I was blindsided in the city: although there is running water at home, the water I usually use is pumped up by the pump in the well. If the water is cut off, it will be just like using a bucket to draw water before. I don't have to prepare for cutting off the water.
Think about it, too. Almost every family in the countryside has wells. Even if you don't dig a well, you can go to the neighbor's well to fetch water. Therefore, the suspension of water supply in rural areas has little impact on the lives of villagers.

At present, there are a large number of electrical equipment in rural areas. If there is a power outage, it will still have a great impact on the lives of villagers. However, because of the habit of digging wells in rural areas in the past, stopping water will actually have no impact on rural areas.
