Why did Hu Sanniang, a flower with cow dung, marry Wang Ying?
Most readers disapprove of Hu Sanniang marrying Wang Ying, a short-legged tiger. However, a careful analysis of the situation at that time shows that people like Hu Sanniang, Qin Ming and Lu Junyi who were deceived into going up the mountain but had no choice but to become an outlaw may have suffered from "Stockholm syndrome". In other words, the victim has feelings for the offender and even helps the offender in turn.
Hu Sanniang's fate of being forced to be a thief may change from obedience to habit and dependence, which is highlighted by obedience to marriage. So Wang Ying, the short-legged tiger, took the opportunity to please Hu Sanniang in every way. Hu Sanniang went to Liangshan alone, and Wang Ying was entangled in every way, and they soon developed feelings. This is the end of Hu Sanniang's life to save her husband.
Said wanted three niang is sung river's dry sister, from the point of marrying Wang Ying, sung river is a bit too unkind to the dry sister? Isn't it a little embarrassing to hug three mothers? To put it bluntly, I only blame Song Jiang for being too narrow-minded and ruining Hu Sanniang's youth.
There are only three heroines in Liangshan, which is not enough. Many bachelors are staring at those beautiful women. At this time, Song Jiang betrothed Hu Sanniang to anyone, which easily hurt the harmony. It's better to give the wanted man San Niang to a super goat who is recognized by everyone, so that everyone has no mind and no one is offended.
Hu Sanniang's whole family was killed by Li Kui jy. Why didn't she avenge her blood?
Li Kui jy, a black whirlwind, thought that Sung River wanted to marry Hu Sanniang as a village wife, so after he laid down Zhujiazhuang, he killed Hu Taigong and destroyed his family. At this point, the wanted man, San Niang, has recognized that Taigong is michel platini and married Wang Ying, a short-legged tiger, under his auspices.
Although she later learned that there was a mortal enemy with Liangshan, what could she do? She is a woman. Why did she kill her husband to avenge her father? Even if she only killed Li Kui jy, Li Kui jy is also the first confidant of Sung River, almost the enemy of Liangshan, which is unbearable for the wanted man San Niang.
But from then on, Shi Naian, the author of Water Margin, stopped arranging Hu Sanniang to speak. When she was unable to resist rape, she could only express her hatred with a dead silence. Or her silence is actually a struggle against fate.
The ending of Hu Sanniang in other literary works
Hu Sanniang's image also appears in other sequels of Water Margin and derivative literature:
In Dangkou Zhi written by Yu Wanchun in Qing Dynasty, Wang Ying was killed by the heroine Chen Liqing, and Hu Sanniang and Chen Liqing avenged their husbands, and was finally killed by Chen Liqing.
In the modern scholar Cheng's Remnant Shui Bo, because Song Jiang and others deliberately concealed it, Hu Sanniang didn't know that jy was slaughtered. Later, Wang Ying and Li Kui jy had an argument, and Wang Ying leaked the matter in a rage. When Hu Sanniang found out, she killed Li Kui jy for revenge. Song Jiang therefore negotiated the murder of Hu Sanniang, and was later sent by the squire to stop it. Hu Sanniang finally joined the loyalist in Lu Junyi with Wang Ying.
In Zhang Henshui's New Biography of the Water Margin, Song Jiang led Liangshan troops to follow Zhang Shuye's resistance to gold, including Hu Sanniang and Wang Ying. Later, in the battle of defending Tokyo, both husband and wife were killed.
In a word, no matter what kind of story, anything related to Hu Sanniang has no happy ending, either death or revenge. The only constant is that Hu Sanniang really put flowers in cow dung and married Wang Ying, a short-legged tiger.
