Home made apple cake

Instructions

①Make cake dough by mixing flour, cream, sugar (5 tbsp), baking powder, egg and vanilla extract in a steel bowl. When the dough starts to form, wrap it in plastic wrap and flatten it a little, then put it in the refrigerator to relax a little. ②Cook the apple filling. Peel and core the apples, cut them into thin strips, put them in a sauté pan, mix in sugar (2 tbsp), and cook over medium heat until the water evaporates*. Turn off the heat and sprinkle with cinnamon. Divide the cake dough into two halves, roll out one half and spread it on the bottom of the cake mold. Spread the cooled apple filling on top, then press the other half of the dough slightly thin and peel it into small pieces to cover the apple filling. (If you don't have a square cake mold, you can use a round baking mold instead. ④Bake the cake in a preheated oven at 180°C for 50 minutes. If the top of the cake gets burnt too quickly, lower the temperature or shorten the baking time. ⑤ Remove from the oven, sprinkle with powdered sugar and serve.
