Portugal is a developed country, but its economy is not outstanding among the developed countries in Europe. According to relevant statistics, Portugal is a developed high-income country. Most industries, enterprises and financial institutions are concentrated in the metropolitan areas of Lisbon and Porto. Setubal, Aveiro, Braga, coimbra and leiria are the largest economic centers outside these two major regions.
