1. Story: The Legend of Su Xian

The "Legend of Su Xian" is a local folklore story with a long history. Su Xian, named Dan, was from Guiyang. Su Dan lost his father in his early years and was dependent on his mother. One year, there was an epidemic. He and his mother prepared a decoction using orange leaves, roots, well water and Maling Mountain peach stone to treat the patients. Later, he traveled with Taoist priests. According to folk legend, he had climbed over a crane and became an immortal.
