The original animation of "Burning Bait Block" is called "Dupi Dog". "Bait Chunk" is a humorous cartoon in Yunnan dialect adapted from the American cartoon "Doppy Dog". It is a series of humorous and funny stories that revolve around the daily life of a calm and sophisticated dog. "Duppy Dog" is an animation created by Tex Avery in 1943 for the MGM Animation Department. It was later adapted into "Burning Bait Block" in Yunnan dialect.

The protagonist Drubi moves slowly, is drowsy, and speaks very monotonous English. In appearance, Drewbi is often considered to be incapable of standing up to his cartoon counterparts. Droopy has a tired and listless face, hence the name "Dropy".
